My Review

Convincing the Cowgirl, by Jody Hedlund, is the third book in the Colorado Cowgirls series. This book is a very special western, historical romance that is thoroughly engaging and beautifully written. From the first page to the last, captivating characters and a compelling plot come together perfectly in a story that entertains and inspires.
 

In this novel, Ms. Hedlund displays her genuine talent for writing novels that are rich in descriptive detail, integral settings, complex characterization, and riveting storylines. Scenes filled with danger are balanced by scenes of hope, and the story is strengthened by enduring themes of courage, resiliency, forgiveness, trust, and second chances. The characters in this story are authentic and vulnerable as they endeavor to heal from past traumas and understandable insecurities. Their struggle to realize their dreams and goals is quite moving and memorable. Page after page, there are plenty of surprises and unexpected moments that are truly thrilling and delightfully endearing, making this novel a genuine pleasure to read.
 

With a writing talent that seems effortless, Ms. Hedlund has once again crafted a story that is worthwhile, meaningful, and engrossing. Abounding with history, romance, adventure, and heart, Convincing the Cowgirl offers an unforgettable reading experience, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. I am certainly ready to read the next book in this series!
