My Review

Jody Hedlund certainly has an impressive talent for writing western, historical romance novels! This gift for storytelling is on full display in Captivated by the Cowgirl, the fourth book in the Colorado Cowgirls series. With characters who are quite lively and a plot that is very appealing, this book is a pleasure to read. Throughout this novel, elements of history, adventure, and romance meld together perfectly in a refreshingly enjoyable story that is heartfelt and entertaining.
 

Ms. Hedlund’s use of witty dialogue is impressive, and the antics of her characters are quite engaging. Though they often find themselves in daunting situations that motivate them to make surprising choices, the characters are very likable, and their unconventional natures are inspiring. As they persevere through a variety of setbacks, they begin to question their assumptions and their goals, making them relatable and compelling. 

 

Captivated by the Cowgirl is a pleasant, memorable story filled with humor, surprises, and sweet romance. It is a worthy book that I gladly recommend. It is a charming addition to the Colorado Cowgirls series!
