Publisher's Book Description

“A pickpocket turned lady and a prince with a forgotten past find love in the most unexpected place…

Juliet Dash, orphan and former pickpocket, yearns to leave her troubled past behind. So when she arrives in British Columbia and takes a respectable job working for a pair of society sisters who offer to give her etiquette lessons, she’s one step closer to that dream. But when an unexpected encounter with an unconscious man turns her world upside down, Juliet must choose between her heart and her aspirations.

Weary of the pressure of royal life, Prince Henry Graighton longs for solace and anonymity. But when tragedy strikes and his brother winds up dead, Henry finds himself thrust into the role of heir apparent, leaving him to struggle with the weight of his grief and unwanted responsibility. And when Henry is kidnapped, he narrowly escapes with his life...but loses his memories in the process. In his darkest hour, a beacon of hope emerges in the form of Juliet, his savior and the key to unlocking his forgotten past.

With danger lurking at every turn and the weight of Henry’s royal duties looming over them, can their budding romance withstand the trials that lie ahead, or will Juliet be forced to sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of Henry’s kingdom?”

My Review

His Unforgettable Bride, by Patti Stockdale and Jody Hedlund, is the fourth book in The Bride Ships New Voyages series. This book features a charming blend of romance and intrigue with delightful elements of history sprinkled throughout the pages. Dramatic twists and unexpected surprises help to make this novel quite engaging, while memorable characters and timeless themes add meaning to a story that is utterly enjoyable.

Throughout His Unforgettable Bride, the characters prove to be interesting and dynamic. It is within the haven of a small coastal town in British Columbia that the main characters find the opportunities and motivations they need to ponder their pasts, consider their futures, nurture their faith, and cultivate hope. Page after page, their idiosyncrasies, insecurities, and goals make them likable, vulnerable, and relatable. Their actions and choices are emotionally stirring, revealing the depths of their grace and selflessness. Their stories grow even more compelling as they demonstrate their courage and compassion toward one another.

His Unforgettable Bride is a special novel. Sweet romance, mysteries, and hints of fairytale elements make this book an entertaining read. It offers a satisfying conclusion to The Bride Ships New Voyages series, and I am happy to recommend it. I have certainly enjoyed reading the books in this series.

About the Author: Patti Stockdale

Patti Stockdale loves hope, history, and a good happily ever after. She can’t remember numbers, so she married a statistician. Thanks to him, she’s lived all sorts of places and worked all sorts of jobs. While employed by the NFL, she once answered the phone with the wrong team’s name. She doesn’t work there anymore. For 11 years, she directed the programming at a nonprofit senior center and hosted an annual talent show, rocking a Dolly Parton wig, Annie Oakley boots, and a sweet—although snug—Batman costume. She no longer works there either. These days, Patti writes books and occasionally educational assessments and magazine articles.” –Biography from Patti Stockdale’s website.

About the Author: Jody Hedlund

Jody Hedlund is the best-selling author of over forty sweet historical romances and is the winner of numerous awards. She lives in central Michigan with her husband and is the mother of five wonderful children and five spoiled cats. When she’s not penning another of her page-turning stories, she loves to spend her time reading, especially when it also involves consuming coffee and chocolate.” —Biography from Jody Hedlund’s website.
