My Review
Enriched, by Jody Hedlund, is full of gripping adventure, mystery, and daring acts of courage, making this fourth book in the Knights of Brethren series truly enthralling! Featuring a fresh and creative twist on the medieval stories of the search for the Holy Grail, this novel is wholly engaging and full of heart. Remarkable characters and detailed settings add depth to a story that is rife with surprises. From start to finish, it is a beautifully written book that is entertaining and enjoyable.
As the story unfolds, the first person perspectives of the two main characters, adds to the immersive nature of this novel. Though the characters grapple with significant insecurities, difficult choices, and unpredictable dangers, they prove the unflagging nature of their bravery, determination, and compassion. In the face of the unknown, the characters boldly pursue a course that leads to fortuitous outcomes for themselves, their families, and their fellow citizens.
Jody Hedlund’s medieval stories are always brimming with spectacular fantasy elements like legends, knights, maidens, creatures, and lore that captivate the reader. They are also thoughtfully composed, utterly moving, and very memorable. Enriched, like the other books in the series, is a special novel, and I gladly recommend it to all readers.
