My Review
Stay With Me, by Jody Hedlund, may be the third book in the Waters of Time series, but it reads well as a stand-alone novel. This book features a riveting love story that defies the bounds of time. Filled with medieval adventure, danger, history, intrigue, and even a few miracles, this novel is original and captivating. Unforgettable characters and pivotal settings strengthen a storyline that flows easily between the present-day and the fourteenth century. From beginning to end, it is a stunning book that is both memorable and entertaining.
In this novel, Ms. Hedlund has written a story that abounds with creativity and engaging narrative. Descriptive, thoughtful, and emotionally stirring, this novel is excellently paced and well-written. Vivid settings in the past and in the present help to make this book especially immersive and gripping.
The characters too are altogether special. Determined, strong, courageous, and honorable, they are likable and compelling. In the midst of uncertainty and grave danger, they choose to act with compassion and integrity. Their motivations and fears ring true and inspire contemplation. As they hope for a wholeness of heart that has eluded them, their story grows quite meaningful and touching.
With plenty of romance and unique surprises, this book is wholly enjoyable. It is an uplifting story of restoration and second chances. Stay With Me is a genuinely remarkable novel, and I sincerely recommend it.
