My Review

Ensnared is the beautifully-written third book in the Knights of Brethren YA series by Jody Hedlund. With pages filled with intrigue, danger, and mystery, this book is simply captivating. Thoughtfully written in the first person perspectives of the two main characters, this novel is immersive and genuinely engaging. From beginning to end, it is a riveting story brimming with courage, adventure, and heart.
 

Ensnared offers a new and clever twist on the medieval stories of the search for the Holy Grail. Stunning characters and compelling settings add depth to a story that is filled with surprises. Though the characters face uncertain loyalties, cruel adversaries, and mortal dangers, they persevere and reveal themselves to be brave, determined, and compassionate. Even when contending with significant hardships, the characters venture forth on a path that leads to unexpected possibilities for themselves and for those they hold dear.
 

With a true talent for weaving words into unforgettable stories, Jody Hedlund shines at crafting vivid medieval tales that are creatively threaded with fantasy, legends, knights, maidens, creatures, and lore. Truly entertaining and utterly moving, Ensnared is a novel worthy of notice. I certainly enjoyed reading it, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
