My Review
Never Leave Me, by Jody Hedlund, is the second book in the Waters of Time series. This sweeping story of love, time travel, adventure, peril, and hope is strengthened by captivating characters and integral settings. Abounding with history, romance, and intrigue, this novel is both riveting and original. With a storyline that moves effortlessly between the present-day and the Middle Ages, it is a compelling novel that is very enjoyable from beginning to end.
This novel shines with creativity and descriptive storytelling. It is thoughtful, emotionally stirring, and well-written. Page by page, excellent pacing enriches the story and fosters a reading experience that is truly enticing. The settings in the past and in the present help to make this book even more special. They are vividly detailed and immersive adding real depth to the story.
The characters are also memorable. They are sympathetic, relatable, and authentically complex. When faced with difficult choices, they display courage, compassion, and honor. Their insecurities and motivations are believable and thought-provoking. Their quest for wholeness and restoration is made especially meaningful by moments of selflessness that infuse the book with heart.
Offering a fascinating plot with unique surprises, this novel is interesting and touching. It is a moving love story filled with hope, healing, and second chances. Never Leave Me is a book worthy of much attention, and I eagerly recommend it.
