 Publisher's Description

"Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been the best of friends since they met thirteen years ago. Unbeknown to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long.

Independent and adventurous Britt channels her talent into creating chocolates at her hometown shop. Zander is a bestselling author who's spent the past 18 months traveling the world. He's achieved a great deal but still lacks the only thing that ever truly mattered to him--Britt's heart.

When Zander's uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Merryweather, Washington, to investigate, and Britt is immediately there to help. Although this throws them into close proximity, both understand that an attempt at romance could jeopardize their once-in-a-lifetime friendship. But while Britt is determined to resist any change in their relationship, Zander finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings hidden.

As they work together to uncover his uncle's tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also, finally, come to light?"

My Review

Sweet on You, by Becky Wade, is the third book in A Bradford Sisters Romance series. While I do recommend reading all of the books in this series simply because each of them is absolutely wonderful, this book can be read quite easily as a stand- alone novel. Like the other books in the series, Sweet on You is beautifully written, entertaining, and utterly engaging. From the unexpected mystery, to the indispensable chocolate truffles, to the unfolding romance, this novel is absolutely enjoyable from beginning to end.

In Sweet on You, as in all of her novels, Ms. Wade is amazingly talented at creating vibrant characters that are believable, endearing, and relatable. Even though they endure difficult trials, they manage to persevere and make tough choices. Above all, they learn, they grow, and they endeavor to thrive. As they pursue wholeness and consider new possibilities, they begin to find peace as they open their hearts to vulnerability, trust, and faith.

Ms. Wade is also profoundly skilled at immersing the characters in settings that are richly detailed and wholly memorable. Set in the distinctive Pacific Northwest, Sweet on You is a book as splendid and as stunning as the scenic setting that enriches the story. Furthermore, the plot of this novel is refreshingly captivating as it abounds with circumstances and twists that are delightfully and thoroughly intriguing.

This novel is touching, inspiring, and compelling. It is original and appealing and everything a great book should be. I sincerely recommend Sweet on You. It is a book worthy of savoring and sharing. Ms. Wade is a gifted storyteller and with each book she writes, I find new reasons to love her work even more. I eagerly look forward to reading more of her novels in the future.

*I was given a copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers. A review was not required. The review I have written contains opinions that are entirely my own.

My Reflection

Within the pages of Sweet on You there is an important theme of reliance on God and his power rather than on one’s own strength. This novel does an incredible job of highlighting the folly of extreme self-reliance that makes no room for God’s merciful grace, provision, comfort, or care. Sweet on you encourages the reader to reflect on the unconditional love of God that is readily and freely offered to everyone in all circumstances and at all times. This book shows the wise beauty of a humble and willing heart that finds rest and security in the hands of an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving creator.

About the Author: Becky Wade

"Becky is the Carol and Christy award winning author of heartwarming, humorous, and swoon-worthy contemporary inspirational romances.

She loves to connect with readers via her web site, www.beckywade.com, and via her Facebook author page, www.Facebook.com/AuthorBeckyWade.

During her childhood in California, Becky frequently produced homemade plays starring her sisters, friends, and cousins. These plays almost always featured a heroine, a prince, and a love story with a happy ending. She's been a fan of all things romantic ever since.
These days, you'll find Becky in Dallas, Texas failing to keep up with her housework, trying her best in yoga class, carting her three kids around town, watching TV with her Cavalier spaniel on her lap, hunched over her computer writing, or eating chocolate." --Biography from Becky Wade's author page on Amazon.com.
